A petition has been set up that calls the government to debate and rule that all employed Care workers are paid the living wage.
As a company we pay above the minimum wage and currently pay our employees the living wage (and have done so for a while now).
However many companies don’t. Care workers provide essential care to the people they support and all work very long hours (the usual shift is approx. 12 hours long) with many workers unable to support themselves on one job alone.
