We have been nominated for two care awards!!
W wanted to share with you some fantastic news we have recently had, that not only is great news for us and for social care but for the local area too.
We had some exciting news in September. Two members of our staff have been nominated for awards in care and have made it through to the London Regional finals of The Great British Care Awards.
Our Area Manager Jane Ingram has been nominated for The Care Innovator Award for her on going work within the local community whereby she has been introducing Health and Social Care students to the world of Social Care.
Jane has worked tirelessly over the last 12 months giving talks to local sixth form students about different aspect of social care, a career in care and then providing them with opportunities to experience working in care by offering them placements, work experiences and volunteering.
To date, Jane has been able to offer these real life insights to over 50 local students. As a company we are extremely proud and impressed with Jane’s work and her passion in wanting to help shine a positive light on social care.

We then have one of our Support workers, Sean King. Sean was our first Dignity Champion and has been nominated for The Dignity in Care Award.
Sean’s role is championing the dignity of the people he supports by embracing a more person centred approach to their care. By doing this, Sean is able to give the people he supports the upmost level of independence, choice, control, privacy and respect that they deserve by listening and supporting them to express their needs in ways that they may not have been able to do before.
Not only is Sean doing this on a day to day basis, but has now formed a group of staff from each of our homes to share ideas so that they too can champion the dignity of the people they support.
Fountain and Loving Care are so pleased to see Sean and our other Dignity Champions show so much passion and dedication towards the people they support by giving them many more opportunities to live their best lives. This is what social care is all about.
The London regional finals of The Great British Care Awards will be held on the 16th November 2019 and we all have our fingers crossed that Jane and Sean win in their categories and make it through to the National Finals in March 2020.
