Every year we hold a bi-annual party for our service users, their families and our staff. It’s a great way to mix and mingle with all our other homes too, their service users and their families.
This year our house dignity champions came up with a great idea. They wanted to raise money for Dementia/ Alzheimer’s Society so suggested that everyone dress up in Elf attire and contribute £1 – those that don’t dress up would have to donate double!
Our company Directors loved this idea therefore decided that what ever our staff could raise they would match!!
Our staff, our service users and their families went above and beyond and managed to raise £160!! (We also included any money raised the day after on actual Elf Day, as our staff dressed up in the homes too).
This has now given us a grand total of £320 that FLC will be donating to the Dementia/ Alzheimers Society.
